Lucas & his Nana
Here are a couple of pics of Lucas with Brett's mum. I have decided this is the best place in the whole house for photos, just because of the natural light.

She said to me on the phone the other night, that it was like having a newborn in the house... Hmmmm... let's just say this comment did not go down very well with me... LOL!!!

Brother & Sister pics...
3 months today...
...well technically 3 days ago (I started the post on Wednesday)...

Our little man Lucas is growing up so quickly. We had his 3 month check-up with Anne his Child Health Nurse on Wednesday. He now weighs 6.2 kgs and measures 63 cm in length (which is apparently quite long!! LOL!!). He is pretty much out of his size 000 clothes and onto the 00s. He really doesn't look anything like a newborn anymore. Sob, sob...
Lucas is trying his hardest to roll, which I am totally not ready for. After Charlotte being a little later than average to reach rolling/crawling/walking milestones, it is a totally different experience having a boy who is keen to get going. He is quite the little chatterbox at the moment. He sounds like he is saying "Uh-Oh" and "Hi" over and over again, and is most happy when he has Charlotte chatting back to him. He is totally smitten with his big sister!!
I was hoping we would get through this month without a trip to the doctors. But alas No, he woke up yesterday morning with a very red, swollen willy, so off we went. And came home with an ointment and panadol.
He is still going strong with the breastfeeding, which I am ecstatic about. The two of us were asked along to Murdoch university as part of a presentation by the local Australian Breastfeeding Association group, to 3rd year nursing students. I just had to sit there and feed him whilst a couple of the groups' members did the presentation. The students, many of whom were younger women hadn't seen a baby breastfed up close, and were really interested and asked me a lot of questions about our breastfeeding hassles. It was nice to be able to give them some insight into the difficulties new mums face with feeding. Lucas however, was more interested in smiling and chatting with students than concentrating on the job at hand.
Sleep - well it could be worse.... But man, am I still exhausted... He generally goes to bed about 7.30 and wakes for feeds around 1 or 2am and then again at 4 or 5am. They are pretty quick feeds and he doesn't mess around too much going back down. He doesn't have much of a routine during the day. He feeds when he likes, has a big sleep soon after 9am (if we're home) and another one of 1-2 hours in the afternoon. Stretching him out to bedtime is difficult with either Brett or I scoffing down our meal and trying to keep him happy.
Hmmmm... I think that is about it. I am trying to keep a record of what the little man is up to, so sorry for the boring details... I'll move on...
Some photos of Lucas at 3 months...

P.S Have i mentioned how much I love my camera. These pics were all pretty much unedited... and in the "no flash mode". One day I will learn how to use the manual modes, but in the mean time I absolutely love the photos I'm able to capture.... and a model that can't yet run away from me...

Charlotte's Creations...
We have hundreds of these beautiful creations floating around the house... Charlotte is really into drawing at the moment. Mainly people (who all look eerily the same...) and ocassionally Denim (the dog) or Troy (the cat).
Apparently this is Daddy...
...and this is me...
...and this is three of the Wiggles with Murray and his guitar on the right... I was very impressed with the detail on this one...

The New Me...
Did something a little crazy yesterday and got my hair cut off!!! I did the same thing soon after Charlotte was born. It was way in need of a colour and cut and I got so sick of having to tie it back constantly, so Lucas couldn't grab it, or spew in it!! So there you go...
Cass xoxo
P.S Before anyone asks, no I haven't suddenly lost alot of weight (I wish!!), just an OK angle that makes my face look thinner!! Wish that happened all the time...

Mummy & Lucas Day...
I have decided I am going to go with the flow with the little man. (After a shocker day yesterday). I end up getting to upset/angry if he ain't doing what I want him to do!! I think I need to relax a little about it. But it's hard with a three year old too.... What am I talking about?? I have friends with 3 kids, and at least one expecting their fourth!!! You are amazing wonder women!! I am in awe...
Hope you're all having a fab day!!

Lucas' Birth Photos & Birth Story
So, I still haven't managed to write down my long-winded birth story, but I have been through all the wonderful photos my friend Amanda took of Lucas' arrival. I have ummed and aahed about putting them on the blog, and have decided that I would just post a couple, and anyone wishing to see a more comprehensive slideshow of the event can just let me know and I will email you a link to view it.
I have no problem with everyone seeing the photos, but I didn't want to subject those who really didn't want the whole nine yards to all the gory bits!! The slideshow has some partial nudity, but no nipples or other girly bits (sorry to be graphic!!).
Please, if you would like to see it just email me at cas_hunter@hotmail.com and I will email you the link. I am more than happy to share it....
Here are a couple of shots anyway...

Just some pics...
Haven't got much to say... Lucas has been sick again (nasty, nasty chesty cough)... I haven't had nearly enough sleep (for the last 4 years actually)... Charlotte has wet through 6,000 pairs of knickers in the last couple of days (and appears to never be going back to being fully toilet-trained)... OK, so I had a bit to say...
Photos... These were taken a couple of weeks back... Enjoy...
