On the Farm - Denmark

A week or so ago we went away for four days in the beautiful town of Denmark. We stayed at the Misty Valley Country Cottages - a farm stay style accomodation where Charlotte was able to interact with all the farm animals, feeding them each morning and helping out with other farm chores. We were lucky enough to be the only ones there so she had the run of the place...

Feeding the animals and farm activities took place each morning at 8.30am. Charlotte seemed to think it was perfectly reasonable to allow 3.5 hours to get ready, by waking at 5am every morning. Not impressed!!! But we all had afternoon naps, which was lovely.

Pentland Alpaca Farm & Wildlife Park - Denmark

Another wonderful place to get up close and personal with some animals was the Pentland Alpaca Farm and Wildlife Park. It was as cheap as chips to get in and we spent a couple of hours feeding all the very friendly animals...

Green's Pool, Denmark

On our last full day in Denmark we headed to the beach. I had heard about this amazing natural rock pool that was a nice, sheltered spot and perfect for kids. Little did I know this "rock pool" was actually a huge "pool". Apparently the Denmark children all have swimming lessons there, as they don't have a swimming pool in town. It was absolutely stunning, although a little chilly in the water. Didn't stop Brett and Charlie having a dip!!
(It was overcast, so the photos don't do the white, white sand and perfect blue water justice)

Charlie is asleep - so it's the perfect chance to upload some pics. Then we are heading down to the Mandurah Foreshore for the Little Nippers Festival, where Daddy will meet us after work for Fish n Chips. All round a great Sunday, I think...

My Baby Bump...

Well, here it is... for those far away who have been asking. Not the greatest shots, taken self-portrait style in our bathroom mirror. A very awkward manouvere!!!

I have the weirdest shaped belly!!! It's a little hard to see what is baby and what is just my regular big belly. Needless to say I am officially in maternity clothes. Aaaarrrrgh!!!!

Introducing our little one...

Well, yesterday Brett, Charlotte and I travelled up to Perth to have my 20 weeks scan. It was the first time we have really got to see our little bub, as we have only had brief scans to check for a heart beat after my two rounds of bleeding. It was such a relief to see that all was OK! The "little one" is measuring a week ahead, but as I know the actual date of conception they won't be changing my dates - it may just turn out to be a bigger bub than Charlotte.

We got a DVD copy of the scan which meant we only had a few "still" shots. They're not that great, but here they are:
