Our baby girl started Big School today...

Well the day finally came today. Our baby girl had her first day of Kindy, or "big school" as she calls it (daycare is "little school"). She will be going two full days a week, although they are easing them in over the first few weeks. Today, she spent the afternoon with her new teacher Mrs Bathgate, her assistant Mrs Larke and her new classmates.

So after the longest morning in the history of the world, especially for Charlotte, here she is, complete with cheesy grin... (Thanks Mel for the gorgeous lunch box set, Tupperware, no less...)

With Daddy, Lucas and the hound, Denim...
And with Lucas and I...
Getting out of the car...
Enough with the camera already...
Well come on mum and dad, let's get on with it...
Here we go...
Finding her bag hook... (The other Charlotte name tag is for a little girl in the other Kindy class)
Her little classroom...
The playground...
Getting into the toys...

Happy to be at school...
Showing Daddy the doll house...

Brett and I both got a bit choked up, when after 20 minutes, Mrs Bathgate said that it was up to parents if they stayed, or they are free to leave. All the other parents seemed to bolt out the door. Brett and I decided to leave too, as we felt she would be OK. But would we???

2 and a half hours later we raced back up to the school, dying to know how it all went.... let me just say SHE HAD A BALL!! When we got there she came out with a huge grin on her face and arms full of artwork, including a painting, a drawing, an egg-carton creation and another box creation. Our house isn't big enough for all of this!!! But hey, SHE HAD A BALL!! Then we went out for a celebratory babycino which included a full report of her afternoon.... we NEVER get a report from her after daycare.

Wednesday is Day 2..... I'll report back then!!

Lucas @ 11 months...

Oh my, our little man is 11 months old..... the next update and he will be celebrating his first birhday!! How scary is that?? Where did that year go... and all those cliches...

A short update as I am exhausted, a bit fuzzy in the head, and can't think straight.

He is still our happy, smiley boy... but now with 7 teeth......still very in love with his sister, even when she smothers him with her own kind of love......just look at how he adores her...

He's getting better with his tucker, still gags a bit, and spits or throws his food everywhere.... but doesn't mind the odd piece of melon...Apparently Lucas would look good as a little girl (according to Charlotte...)
He has mastered his Polar Bear toy, he now can put the ball in the bears hands, so it rolls down the ramp. He turns around waiting for our enthusiastic cheers...
He is a real outdoors boy, and gets very cranky if I go out the back, and don't take him with me. He enjoys being pushed around on his various cars and ride-ons.... it's great for our backs when Charlotte offers to push...
Has a very energetic wave and says bye-bye or nigh-nigh, if he is off to bed. Here he was waving at Brett...
Always with a cheeky grin on his face...
He has finally mastered the crawl....... and is cruising around all the furniture.... this is what I see from my seat at the dinner table...
And just some other shots from his eleventh month...

.... in our new tent (Daddy put it up in the backyard)...
Well, that's it. I will be back tomorrow with Charlotte's first day of school photos. I am nervous and emotional already. God help me by tomorrow.
Night all,
Cass xoxo
