Lucas @ 6 months...

Well we made it through the first 6 months... just!! But all of us are soooo in love with our little man. I have forgotten just how much they change from day to day. So I am glad I am keeping up to date (somewhat) with these posts.

So what's been happening.... well just after I updated for his 5th month, Lucas decided to sprout a tooth, and then a couple of days later a second. Both on the bottom. He is only 5 months earlier than Charlotte for teeth growing. And I have spent the last month trying to get a photo...

Lucas is one very noisy kid!!! He loves toys that rattle or make a noise, and bangs everything together or on his highchair tray. He squeals and chatters near constantly. He has a new trick - he makes this funny noise that sounds like radio or TV static. He also has a very dramatic yawn, which can be heard often from the back of the car when I am driving. He really is a happy, smiley kid!!
6 months has meant the start of "solids" - or really sloppy unappetizing looking food. Lucas had his first tatse of rice cereal – needless to say he didn't think that much of it...

...so we have moved straight onto pureed vegies and fruits... He likes his tucker even more when Charlotte is shoving it in his gob...

He definitely recognises his name (and all the variations – Louie, Louie-Lucas, Lukey-Lucas). He is still very much in love with his sister – but has started fighting back when she gets too close (pulls hair, latches onto her cheek, eats her hand/hair/clothes). Ironically, Lucas can grab a handful of Miss Charlotte's hair and yank it and she doesn't flinch, yet she wails whenever I come near her with a brush.

He has rolled a few more times, but not consistently, and he loves to sit up and play with his yellow ball thingy.

(And HIS thingy... according to this shot... LOL!!!)

He is still wakes heaps during the night. We're working on it. We're hoping the extra food might help... I'm not holding my breath. Enough said....

Still breastfeeding pretty well, although we have hit the distractable stage where he regularly pulls off to flash me a huge grin (and a boob to unsuspecting diners at the food court). Sorry to the poor flustered bloke who copped an eyeful just the other day... I'm sure it put him off his food... LOL!!

Basically Lucas is an absolute delight. I am only sad that this 6 months has gone by so quickly. I'll have to work on Brett for another one... Just kidding!!!! Let me get some sleep first...
