Today we had a lovely brunch at our friends Sara, Dave, Aiden and Megan's new house. We haven't caught up with them properly in ages and we were spoilt with the most amazing spread of food. Charlotte got to have a good play with her bestie Aiden, and we thought they had definitely worn each other out enough to have a lengthy sleep this arvo - well, I'm sure Aiden slept... but Charlotte definitely didn't. Little bugger!!! I now have a cranky 3 year old to deal with, and Brett has gone off crabbing in the estuary!!! I am hiding in the computer room and she is playing with her dolls in the family room, with the ocassional bout of tears (for absolutely no good reason)!! Only 2 hours 'til bedtime!!!!
Sara had borrowed our bassinet for their little one Megan, and we brought it home today, as she has well grown out of it. Brett had said a few times that he felt he should be doing something to prepare for the bub's arrival, so I suggested he put the bassinet up when we got home. It is fair to say that both of us got a little misty-eyed, thinking that Charlotte was once small enough to fit in it, and that our new baby would be there very soon (have you seen the countdown at the top of the blog.... 42 days to go... Oh my god....).
