Hello again....

Well it has been ages since my last post. Alot of stuff has been happening, so I will try to summarise...

Firstly...... This is what greeted Brett when he arrived home from work a few Sundays back...

Yes it appears WE ARE PREGNANT!!!! Baby Hunter #2 is due late September. Brett & I are very excited, and happy that Charlotte will have a little baby brother or sister soon. I have had quite a bit of nausea and am suffering from the worst insomnia ever - I'm not uncomfortable in bed or anything, just can't switch my mind off! I have been catching some Zzzzzzz when little Miss C goes to bed for her daytime nap.
On to our Little Miss nearly-2-year-old. I can't believe Charlie will be 2 in less than 2 weeks, she is growing up so quickly (I know very cliched). She is keeping us thoroughly entertained with all her antics, and wonderful singing of nursery rhymes, TV ads and radio hits (including Red Hot Chilli Peppers' "Dani California" and Bob Evans' "Don't you think it's Time" - for those of us who know the songs). The house is literally never quiet, and even if we try to hide for 5 minutes peace and quiet, we generally hear down the hallway "Mummy, Daddy, where ARE you?", or "What you doing?". Very cute!

Here are some photos I was conned into having taken of Charlotte at the local shopping centre. I'm glad I did though, as they have turned out great. (Sob, sob... she's growing up too quickly...) I probably shouldn't be posting them with copyright and all that, but bugger it, I paid enough for them.

I love them all but particularly the last one. It is just so Charlotte at the moment!

Other news! Brett has applied for a new job. Same company, same area, just better shift pattern and better pay! He has been told he will be shortlisted for an interview, but we haven't heard anything "officially" yet. Will keep you posted.

Some sad news... Our poor cat Oscar had been quite ill before we went to Sydney for Christmas, but was doing OK when we returned, only to get worse with a different ailment a few weeks later. He spent 5 days at the vets, and was diagnosed with a form of Liver disease, and we were told the prognosis was not good. By the fifth day the vet told us he wasn't eating and to bring him home for the weekend to see if we could get him to. When we arrived at the clinic to pick him up, Brett asked our wonderful vet Julie, if sending him home was for our benefit, not his? She promptly burst into to tears and said "Yes". She said that his body couldn't fight the disease and that it would be humane to put him to sleep. So we brought him home for a couple of hours, to say our goodbyes, and then returned to the clinic to have the deed done. It was trully horrible. We wanted to stay with him, for his sake, not ours, and it was one of the most heart wrenching things I have had to do. I know I sound a bit sooky, but Oscar was our "first-born". Brett was equally devastated and I cried all weekend. We miss him terribly.

So here is a photo of our "Occy-Do" with Troy in happier times,

....... and the day we said goodbye.

Sorry to end on a sadder note. This has turned into a marathon post, so I will go. I have heaps of photos of Miss C to share, but will save it for later.

Hope you are all well.

Love Cass (& Brett & Charlie) xoxo
