Lucas @ 7 months

Well here we are again at a Lucas update... Although the date of this post says 28th September, I am actually posting it today 7th October. More about the "chaos that is our life at the moment" in another post...

So what's our little man been up to...

No nurse check up this month, but I weighed him on our scales to see if we can turn his car seat around and he is a healthy 8.8 kilos. Just above average for his age. So we will be turning the seat around soon.

He appears to have another tooth coming through so he spends alot of his day sucking on his top lip. Or chewing anything he can get his hands on, including his sister and occasionally his dummy. He's not really that fond of it and we are thinking of ditching it before he gets too attached.

He is VERY noisy.... everything he does is loud. Still bashing everything that isn't nailed down. He makes kissing noises and clicks his tongue, and is mastering blowing raspberries. He says mum, mum, mum and bub, bub, bub and has a wicked giggle.

He absolutely loves his tucker, and has tried a variety of vegies and fruit including: pumpkin, carrot, corn, potato, brocoli, pear, apples, peaches and bananas. He has a knack of snatching the spoon (and the bowl) when I'm distracted. He also had some fun munging on a corn cob. He is still breastfeeding which I am thrilled about.
Now that the weather has finally started to warm up (a little) we are spending some time outside. He even had a quick dip in the clam shell with Charlotte. Loved it!!!! He is a bit of a splashing monster, as he is in the bath.

The reddish blonde hair is still with us, as are the blue eyes. Can I say they're here for good yet???

Lucas is much more involved in the goings on of the house. He sits in the middle of the chaos screeching when Charlotte, Denim (the dog) or Troy (the cat) swing on by, straining his neck to get a good look.

He is happiest on my hip in the sling when we are out. I realised we haven't got a pic of my fabulous sling, but it has been a lifesaver. He isn't big on sleeping in the pram, but is quite content to doze of on my hip with his head on my chest, at the supermarket, at Ikea, at the playground. And I must admit I love "wearing" him!!! We both win.

He's growing up way too fast... I want it to slow down... please...

He really is a happy, easy, gorgeous boy our Louie!!! I think we'll keep him... LOL!!!
